ACC Receives Approval for National Turf Grass Advance Payments Program

GUELPH, ON  - Turf grass producers across Canada are now eligible for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Advance Payments Program (APP), effective April 1, 2015.

“Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) is very pleased with this announcement and looks forward to our continuing excellent relationship with the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) in delivering this program to Canada’s turf grass producers.“ stated Jaye Atkins, CEO of ACC.

“CNLA worked closely with ACC in developing this program for its producers and strongly supports the administration of the APP nationally by ACC. We have worked co-operatively with ACC for many years in the administration of the APP for deciduous trees, evergreens and shrubs categories and are excited by the addition of turf grass.” added Rita Weerdenburg, CNLA Growers’ Manager.

Applications are being received now for the program start date of April 1, 2015. Producers can complete applications over the phone by calling ACC or by traditional application processes. Eligible advance payments can be as high as $400,000, with the first $100,000 being interest-free and amounts over $100,000 at prime (currently 2.85%).
