Ag Days To Feature A Wide Cross Section Of Speakers

Jan 16, 2015
Over 45 speakers will take to the stage in Brandon's Keystone Centre next week during Manitoba Ag Days.

There will be two separate theatres again this year - the FCC Theatre at the south end of Westman place and the MNP Theatre located in the main hallway of the Keystone Centre.

Program Co-Chair Stephanie Cruickshanks says they get a lot of help in putting the sessions together.

"We have a really big group of people that we pull together fairly shortly after the previous year's show to start brainstorming, coming up with themes or ideas for the next show," she said. "Our ideas come from a really wide cross section of both producers, we reach out to as many producers as we can, [and] government staff. We also have some of our retailers and committee members that are connected to the ag industry."

The three days will cover topics ranging from grain market trends to advocating for agriculture through social media. The sessions get underway Tuesday morning at 9 am and with the final session taking place Thursday afternoon at 3 pm.

Cruickshanks reminds people to come early, as the sessions can fill up quickly.
