What is the Ag & Food Employer Guide?
The Ag & Food Employer Guide is a supplemental piece developed to be a resource guide for students and young professionals to compare businesses within the agriculture and food industry and their opportunities for internships and employment. The piece also contains a variety of helpful articles to help add shelf-life to the piece, and truly help the piece act as a guide for students as they go about their career search. Example articles from last year’s guides included: ‘Writing an Impactful Cover Letter'; ‘Let's Talk Salary'; and ‘Acing an Interview'.

Who does The Guide reach?
AgCareers.com has worked on the Employer Guide with AgriMarketing for the last six years and plans to continue to expand the piece in 2013. More than 22,000 studentsreceived a hard copy of the 2012 edition and even more students and industry professionals were able to view both Employer Guides through the electronic version. AgCareers.com distributes hard copies in bulk to over 100 agriculture & food focused university and college career services offices as well as at many other industry events that team members attend. This year we will also be featuring the Employer Guides through a variety of social media outlets as well.

The Guide is released with the September issue of AgriMarketing magazine.  Two editions of the Employer Guide are available -- one for the US and one for Canada.
