Alberta Pulse Growers Working Towards Greater Profitability for Producers

The Alberta Pulse Industry has room to grow. There are close to 1 million acres in Alberta dedicated to pulses with a mandate by the Alberta Pulse Growers Association to increase that by 15% over the next 2 years.

There are a number of things that the Association is doing to help that along including research and development, as well as promoting the benefits and advantages pulse crops can provide growers. Underlying all of those strategies is the foundation of making pulses more profitable for the grower and in turn driving that growth.

Gerry Good is the President of the Alberta Pulse Growers Association. I spoke to him at the FarmTech Conference in Edmonton, Alberta.
