Manitoba Ag Days Preview

Jan 15, 2015
Farmers from across the prairies are preparing to head to Brandon next week for the 38th edition of Manitoba Ag Days. The show runs January 20 - 22 at the Keystone Centre.

Media Coordinator Kristen Phillips notes this year's event has something for everyone.

"I think definitely the 500 exhibitors are what bring people to the show," she said. "We are 100 per cent farm pure, so you're going to get everything agriculture...Whether you're a big farmer or small farmer; in the livestock industry or the grain industry, there's something there for everyone. I also think that the seminars and workshops are definitely a big draw, we try to put together a really great line-up of speakers"

This year Manitoba Ag Days will feature two theatres with over 45 speakers covering a wide range of topics. One of the highlights will be a presentation by the Peterson brothers talking about advocating for agriculture through the use of social media.

Fourteen new products and ten new inventions will also be on display throughout the show.

Phillips notes Manitoba Ag Days attracts people from all over the world, with an average attendance of between 38,000 and 40,000 people.
