RAM Trucks Announces Ag Dealership Program.

Ram news release

When Ram trucks celebrated America's farm and ranch families with a two minute commercial featuring Paul Harvey during the 2013 Super Bowl, they created a relationship with those families like no other truck maker ever had.

Today, Ram dealers across the nation are proud to announce the local manifestation of that commitment. Endorsed by the National Agriculture In The Classroom Organization, nearly six dozen Ram dealers have enrolled in the freshman class of the Ram Certified Agriculture Dealership program (RamCAD), with almost one third of them already achieving the rank of Ram Certified Agriculture Dealer.

A first of its kind in the truck industry, this certification lets farm and ranch families know staff at these dealerships have a far deeper understanding of agriculture business, and its unique requirements of suppliers. It also signals the dealerships commitment to activities like the timing of cherry harvest, milking schedules and calving season by adjusting parts of its operations to accommodate the demands of every commodity, and every season.

To become a RamCAD, participating dealers are required to select at least three team members to successfully complete a lengthy agriculture literacy curriculum. The program recommended one each from Parts, Sales and Service so knowledge would spread across all segments of the business.

With the initial curriculum complete, Specialist teams will participate in a continuing education effort that synchronizes their learning with everything important to their area's agriculture, as it happens. Ongoing education, combined with lessons from the initial curriculum, will allow the dealership to become a realtime partner with area agriculture by pro-actively anticipating and meeting the changing demands of its family farm customers.

For non-farm truck buyers curious about agriculture and its families, you will be able to lean on your local Ram Certified Agriculture Specialists for answers to many of your questions.

RamCAD Team Leader, Patrick Driscoll, sums it up best: "Appreciation for agriculture's needs has set deep roots with these dealerships, and the Ram brand. The Ram Certified Agriculture Dealership program was built with input from educational experts, agriculture experts, family farmers & ranchers so dealerships can offer the industry something more...a partnership that understands them at the core, and adjusts to farm and ranch needs at every level, every season, for every reason."
