Manitoba Pulse & Soybean Growers (MPSG) is excited to announce SMART Day on Wednesday, July 22nd in Carman, MB. The Soybean Management & Research Transfer (SMART) Day is a field event designed for farmers and agronomists to sharpen their soybean management skills.
SMART Day will showcase agronomic research being conducted at the Ian N. Morrison research farm in Carman, MB. Attendees will view research plots and take part in interactive lessons being planned by University of Manitoba researchers and their lab groups. Farmers and agronomists who are interested in advancing their knowledge of soybean management are invited to attend!
“Over the past two years, MPSG has prioritized funding agronomic research to address issues of practical relevance to farmers including phosphorus fertility management, crop rotation planning and weed control. This field day allows us to transfer the research knowledge that is being gained directly to the farm” says Kristen Podolsky, Production Specialist with MPSG. “It also provides an environment for farmers and researchers to interact, which is important because researchers are addressing questions that directly impact farming operations.”
This is a free event open to Manitoba farmers and members of the soybean industry. Pre-registration is required by July 17th. To register and view a complete agenda.
