USDA Export Sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 209,200 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 38 percent from the previous week and 62 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Philippines (83,500 MT, including 49,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,000 MT), Nigeria (62,400 MT), Japan (34,600 MT), Ecuador (32,100 MT, including 22,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (26,700 MT), and Honduras (19,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for Brazil (58,800 MT), unknown destinations (42,300 MT), and Peru (2,600 MT).  Exports of 532,000 MT were up 6 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (111,900 MT), Peru (88,100 MT), Nigeria (74,200 MT), Japan (63,800 MT), Mexico (46,000 MT), and Ecuador (34,100 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 40,000 MT, all Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 24,700 MT, all Italy.     

Corn:  Net sales of 99,900 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Egypt (112,900 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from China and 40,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Korea (93,500 MT, including 63,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and 20,000 MT switched from Japan), Colombia (79,500 MT, including 70,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (55,200 MT), Japan (47,600 MT, including 78,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 11,100 MT), and Canada (24,900 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (250,500 MT), China (64,400 MT), El Salvador (9,500 MT), and Morocco (2,700 MT).  Net sales of 719,300 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Colombia (223,300 MT), Mexico (193,600 MT), unknown destinations (161,900 MT), and Peru (98,500 MT).  Exports of 1,144,300 MT were up 59 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (315,600 MT), Mexico (253,900 MT), Japan (206,200 MT), Egypt (172,900 MT), Colombia (71,500 MT), Costa Rica (37,000 MT), and Morocco (27,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 55,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  There were no net sales reported during the week.  Exports of 300 MT were reported to Taiwan.

Sorghum: Net sales of 7,900 MT for 2013/2014 resulted as increases for China (61,900 MT, including 54,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (54,000 MT).  Net sales of 107,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China.  Exports of 161,200 MT were reported to China.

Rice:  Net sales of 47,800 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Haiti (17,800 MT), unknown destinations (7,700 MT), Canada (7,100 MT), Ghana (7,000 MT), and Jordan (5,400 MT).  Decreases were reported for Honduras (1,900 MT) and the United Arab Emirates (400 MT).  Net sales of 3,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Honduras.  Exports of 34,000 MT were reported to Mexico (28,600 MT), Canada (2,400 MT), Saudi Arabia (700 MT), Honduras (500 MT), and Jordan (500 MT). 

Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 89,600 MT for 2013/2014 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Japan (12,800 MT, including 9,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Indonesia (10,000 MT), Taiwan (7,000 MT), and Thailand (3,900 MT), were more than offset by decreases for China (119,000 MT) and unknown destinations (8,700 MT).  Net sales of 1,420,600 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for China (947,900 MT), Spain (120,000 MT), unknown destinations (111,100 MT), and Vietnam (60,000 MT).  Exports of 93,400 MT were down 36 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (42,400 MT), Indonesia (26,300 MT), Japan (13,300 MT), and Barbados (4,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 110,500 MT, all China.  For 2014/2015 outstanding optional origin sales total 902,500 MT, and are for China (737,500 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales 99,800 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (26,800 MT), Mexico (26,100 MT), Canada (23,200 MT), the Philippines (6,300 MT), Japan (4,700 MT, including 3,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and El Salvador (4,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (100 MT) and Nicaragua (100 MT).  Net sales of 78,600 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Colombia (30,500 MT), El Salvador (17,700 MT), and Morocco (15,000 MT).  Exports of 50,300 MT were down 63 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Canada (19,600 MT), Mexico (14,600 MT), Japan (4,700 MT), El Salvador (3,800 MT), and Venezuela (2,000 MT).                                                                                                                                                                     

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 15,700 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (10,100 MT), Nicaragua (3,300 MT), and unknown destinations (2,000 MT).  Net sales of 5,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for the Dominican Republic.  Exports of 15,000 MT were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,400 MT), Jamaica (3,500 MT), the Dominican Republic (2,000 MT), and Nicaragua (1,300 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 155,600 RB for 2014/2015 were primarily for China (68,500 RB), Turkey (29,600 RB), Indonesia (18,900 RB, including 100 RB switched from Japan), Vietnam (12,100 RB, including 3,300 RB switched from China), and Colombia (11,000 RB, including 10,000 RB switched from Mexico).  Decreases were reported for Egypt (11,200 RB), Mexico (3,500 RB), and Uruguay (2,200 RB).  Exports of 105,700 RB were primarily to Mexico (21,000 RB), Turkey (11,800 RB), Vietnam (11,500 RB), China (11,100 RB), and Indonesia (8,000 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 2,600 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for China (1,000 RB), India (900 RB), Indonesia (500 RB), and Thailand (200 RB).  Exports of 4,200 RB were primarily to India (1,800 RB), Egypt (900 RB), Indonesia (500 RB), and China (400 RB).  

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to China (100 RB) were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 55,800 RB, all China. 

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 385,100 pieces were up 34 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 382,100 pieces were primarily for China (259,400 pieces), South Korea (32,400 pieces), Portugal (20,500 pieces), and Italy (14,600 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (2,700 pieces).  Exports of 345,100 pieces were up 25 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 335,700 pieces were primarily to China (198,200 pieces), South Korea (64,200 pieces), Mexico (15,900 pieces), and Hong Kong (13,600 pieces).

Net sales of 273,700 wet blues for 2014 were up 85 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (136,600 unsplit), Taiwan (67,100 unsplit), Italy (31,200 unsplit), and Vietnam (22,300 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (1,900 unsplit), China (300 grain splits), and South Korea (200 unsplit).  Exports of 136,100 wet blues were primarily to China (34,500 unsplit and 3,900 grain splits), Italy (19,400 unsplit and 5,300 grain splits), Vietnam (23,100 unsplit), and Mexico (12,500 grain splits and 2,800 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 220,100 pounds for 2014 reported for South Korea (202,600 pounds) and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for China (26,900 pounds) and Vietnam (5,600 pounds).  Exports of 753,600 pounds were reported to South Korea (578,200 pounds), Vietnam (125,400 pounds), and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 7,300 MT for 2014 were down 23 percent from the previous week and 41 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (1,700 MT), South Korea (1,400 MT), Canada (1,000 MT), Hong Kong (1,000 MT), and Mexico (900 MT).  Net sales of 600 MT for 2015 were reported for Canada.  Exports of 13,500 MT were down 4 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,200 MT), South Korea (2,200 MT), Hong Kong (2,100 MT), Mexico (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,500 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 24,400 MT for 2014 were reported for Mexico (10,300 MT), Japan (3,900 MT), South Korea (2,800 MT), Hong Kong (2,300 MT), and Canada (1,700 MT).  Exports of 15,600 MT were primary to Mexico (5,900 MT), Japan (3,000 MT), Hong Kong (1,900 MT), Canada (1,600 MT), and South Korea (900 MT).
