USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:  Net sales of 277,500 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were down 48 percent from the previous week and 47 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (75,300 MT), Italy (63,800 MT, including 33,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 900 MT), the Philippines (56,900 MT, including 36,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 400 MT), Taiwan (49,400 MT), Nigeria (42,200 MT, including 40,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,800 MT), and Japan (27,600 MT, including 24,300 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (122,300 MT).  Exports of 530,400 MT were up 49 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior-4 week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (132,900 MT), the Philippines (116,900 MT), Italy (74,300 MT), Mexico (58,900 MT), Nigeria (44,000 MT), Peru (36,200 MT), and Venezuela (23,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 19,700 MT were reported to Italy.  Exports for own account to Italy (200 MT) were applied to new or outstanding sales. The current exports for own account balance is 47,000 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 112,700 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were up noticeably from previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Japan (173,700 MT, including 169,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,100 MT), South Korea (64,000 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,000 MT), Egypt (55,000 MT), Colombia (26,900 MT, including 22,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,000 MT), and Honduras (16,100 MT, including 14,900 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (252,400 MT), the French West Indies (6,000 MT), Canada (5,600 MT), and El Salvador (3,300 MT).  Net sales of 328,300 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (132,200 MT), Panama (60,000 MT), Canada (47,300 MT), Mexico (45,600 MT), and Japan (32,200 MT).  Decreases were reported for Jamaica (12,000 MT) and the French West Indies (2,000 MT).  Exports of 1,077,200 MT were up 31 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (341,800 MT), Mexico (324,000 MT), South Korea (64,200 MT), Colombia (61,700 MT), Egypt (55,000 MT), Taiwan (48,700 MT), and Honduras (47,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, options were exercised to export 52,500 MT to Egypt from other than the United States.  For 2015/2016, new optional origin sales totaling 341,000 MT were reported for unknown destinations.

Barley:  Net sales of 500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Taiwan.  Exports of 400 MT were reported to Japan.

Sorghum:  Net sales reductions of 2,400 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for Mexico (1,300 MT), were more than offset by decreases for China (3,700 MT).  Net sales of 56,200 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (55,000 MT) and Mexico (1,200 MT).  Exports of 50,300 MT were down 70 percent from the previous week and 73 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were China (49,000 MT) and Mexico (1,300 MT).  

Rice:  Net sales of 66,000 MT for 2015/2016,  up 97 percent from the previous week, were reported for Venezuela (29,500 MT), Mexico (19,600 MT), unknown destinations (7,200 MT), and Panama (3,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (1,300 MT), Costa Rica (200 MT), and Russia (100 MT).  Exports of 156,400 MT, up 74 percent from the previous week, reported to Venezuela (59,500 MT), Iraq (31,500 MT), Mexico (24,800 MT), Japan (12,000 MT), and Costa Rica (6,800 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current export for own account balance is 400 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 60,500 MT for 2014/2015 were up 54 percent from the previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (33,100 MT, including 29,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 600 MT), Indonesia (16,600 MT, including 25,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 11,500 MT), Colombia (6,600 MT, including 5,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Vietnam (1,900 MT), and Mexico (1,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (119,700 MT), Panama (300 MT), and Taiwan (300 MT).  Net sales of 1,532,800 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (947,700 MT), China (489,600 MT), and Mexico (31,200 MT).  Exports of 147,800 MT were down 36 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (40,700 MT), Japan (34,800 MT), Indonesia (28,300 MT), and Taiwan (28,000 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 120,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 275,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales reductions of 13,900 MT for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (19,200 MT), Honduras (9,800 MT, including 8,800 MT switched from unknown destinations), Ecuador (8,600 MT, including 9,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 900 MT), Panama (6,400 MT, switched from unknown destinations), and the Philippines (6,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for Venezuela (30,000 MT), unknown destinations (29,500 MT), the Dominican Republic (9,200 MT), and the French West Indies (2,700 MT).  Net sales of 218,400 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for the Philippines (86,000 MT), unknown destinations (51,400 MT), Ecuador (33,000 MT), and Mexico (31,200 MT).  Exports of 212,000 MT were up 87 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (44,700 MT), Ecuador (41,600 MT), Mexico (39,800 MT), the Dominican Republic (23,400 MT), and Honduras (20,800 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 4,000 MT for 2014/2015 were down 77 percent from the previous week and 38 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,600 MT), Nicaragua (1,500 MT), and Trinidad (100 MT).   Decreases of 300 MT were reported for Canada.  Net sales of 2,100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (1,300 MT) and Canada (800 MT).  Exports of 13,500 MT were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (10,000 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), and the Dominican Republic (1,000 MT).

Cotton:   Net upland sales totaling 66,500 RB, up 9 percent from the previous week, were reported for 2015/2016.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (19,200 RB), Mexico (13,800 RB), South Korea (9,800 RB), China (9,700 RB), Turkey (5,600 RB), and Taiwan (5,600 RB).   Decreases were reported for Indonesia (1,000 RB) and Bangladesh (700 RB).  Net sales of 2,200 RB for 2016/2017 were reported for El Salvador.  Exports of 153,100 RB, up 49 percent from the previous week, were reported to Vietnam (33,400 RB), Turkey (19,600 RB), Mexico (18,800 RB), and Indonesia (16,300 RB).   Net sales of Pima totaling 5,100 RB, up noticeably form the previous week, were reported for delivery in 2015/2016.   Increases were reported for China (4,400 RB), Vietnam (400 RB), and Japan (200 RB).  Exports of 7,500 RB, up 17 percent from the previous week, were reported to China (4,700 RB), Pakistan (1,100 RB), India (1,100 RB), and South Korea (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 14,500 RB were reported to Vietnam.  Exports for own account to China (300 RB) were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 65,500 RB, and is for China (47,200 RB) and Vietnam (18,300 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 264,800 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hides were up 25 percent from the previous week, but down 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (129,000 pieces), South Korea (75,500 pieces), Taiwan (23,900 pieces), Mexico (21,400 pieces), and Thailand (7,300 pieces).  Exports of 546,200 pieces were up 5 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 538,200 pieces--a marketing-year high--were primarily to China (343,300 pieces), South Korea (91,700 pieces), Taiwan (27,500 pieces), Mexico (27,200 pieces), and Thailand (13,700 pieces).

Net sales of 193,300 wet blues for 2015 were up 49 percent from the previous week, but down 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (62,100 unsplit and 55,800 grain splits), Vietnam (28,000 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (20,300 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Italy (600 grain splits).  Exports of 156,900 wet blues were down 13 percent from the previous week, but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Italy (32,300 unsplit and 12,400 grain splits), Vietnam (38,900 unsplit), China (22,400 unsplit and 6,600 grain splits), and Mexico (13,300 grain splits and 5,600 unsplit).  Net sales reductions of splits totaling 267,600 pounds for 2015 were reported for South Korea (221,900 pounds) and Taiwan (45,800 pounds).  For 2016, net sales reductions of 7,000 pounds resulted as increases for China (1,500 pounds), were more than offset by decreases for Italy (8,500 pounds).  Exports of 751,000 pounds were up 34 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were South Korea (495,400 pounds) and Taiwan (255,600 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 13,100 MT for 2015 were up 3 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (3,300 MT), South Korea (2,500 MT), Japan (2,500 MT), Mexico (1,600 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).  Exports of 10,800 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,800 MT), South Korea (2,100 MT), Hong Kong (1,500 MT), Mexico (1,200 MT), and Canada (800 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 26,600 MT for 2015 were up 64 percent from the previous week and 57 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (13,400 MT), Japan (5,200 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Hong Kong (1,500 MT), and Australia (900 MT).   Net sales of 300 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Australia (200 MT) and South Korea (100 MT).  Exports of 17,700 MT were up 9 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,600 MT), Japan (3,700 MT), Canada (1,600 MT), China (1,200 MT), and South Korea (800 MT).
