January 2010

The Pork Business Journal (PBJ) is a finalist in the 2010 Best of NAMA Contest for the second consecutive year. The custom magazine, published by Farms.com, is sponsored by Cargill Swine Nutrition and Pfizer Animal Health. The purpose of this “Harvard Business Review” for the North American pork industry is to help decision-makers think about business excellence and the value propositions of profitability, confidence in safe food production, human resources, and time management.

“We are honored to have the magazine chosen as a finalist again this year,” says JoAnn Alumbaugh, PBJ Editor. “The development of this type of material takes time and research, but the feedback we’ve received indicates a high regard for the relevance and usefulness of the articles.”

Don Villwock, President of the Indiana Farm Bureau, writes: “I wanted you to know how impressed I was with the [Pork Business Journal] content. I know it is one of, if not the best, piece of useful writing to come across my desk in a long time.”
