A group of Illinois farmers came together in a big way to honour one of their own after he lost his battle to cancer.  Over 40 tractors, assembled by the farmer’s friends and the surrounding community, formed a straight line from his farmhouse to his final resting place at the local cemetery.   Farmers throughout the county harvested the family’s crops once they were ready to be taken off.  Read more here…

They say farmers punch in at the age of five and then never punch out, and that sentiment could not be more true than for Elmo Snelling, a 100 year old Texan who has been farming his entire life! Says Elmo, “I like what I’m doing and doing what I like, so you can’t beat that.”  We think he’s got a point.  Read more here:

Sometimes a crisis situation can result in the most beautiful things.  That’s what happened after  a group of women from a remote farming region of Costa Rica came together to imagine a different future for themselves, their families and their community by building their own coffee mill. Anyone who says youth today are not driven has never met Britton Pointer, an 11 year old Texas cotton farmer who has now planted and stripped two cotton crops all on his own!  His inspiring passion and love for farming started when he was still in diapers and we’re guessing it will carry on well into his adult life.  Read more about Britton here:
