Mike Rowe: Farmers and Consumers Disconnected....
Report this Message
Here is an interesting video on Mike Rowe at the American Farm Bureau Convention.
He is having a press conference and providing some thoughts on how to improve the consumer's understanding of farmers and agriculture.
Do you agree with Mike?
Should farmers care?
Thanks,
Joe Dales

I think the real question is. What are we going to to about it?
It is not for the lack of effort or dedication but for some reason the messages just don't seem to get across.
A new strategy is needed and maybe social networking is one of the ways we can generate more impact. I do know that without a better understanding between producer and consumer they way we farm today will be regulated out of business.
If you think the cost of food is high now just wait until that happens.

I agree the messages are not getting across.
do we know if consumers care where their food comes from?
maybe they are not listening.
