Drought Causes Production Woes For Southeast
Forage Growers



Severe drought conditions threw Georgia forage producers another curve this year. The lack of timely rainfall means hay supplies could be short in many areas this fall. The University of Georgia's Dennis Hancock says growers will need to take advantage of the rainfall and, hopefully, warmer temperatures in the next few days to establish winter annuals this fall. Hancock was interviewed at this year's Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie in south Georgia
