Wheat: Net sales 1,024,100 MT for the 2010/11 marketing year were down 5 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for Nigeria 171,700 MT, including 57,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), Turkey (125,800 MT), Mexico (91,300 MT), Egypt (83,300 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 700 MT), unknown destinations (62,200 MT), Taiwan (52,100 MT), and Japan (51,800 MT). Exports for own account were reported for Canada (26,300 MT of hard red spring wheat) and Canada (18,200 MT of durum wheat). Exports of 593,100 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 17 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Nigeria (103,500 MT), Egypt (83,300 MT), Mexico (74,900 MT), Peru (60,500 MT), Thailand (50,000 MT), and Canada (31,600 MT).
Corn: Net sales reductions of 28,500 MT for delivery in 2009/10 resulted as increases for Japan (97,400 MT, including 56,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 15,800 MT), Morocco (15,700 MT), El Salvador (12,700 MT, switched from Guatemala), Taiwan (8,600 MT), Egypt (6,000 MT), and China (5,500 MT), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (135,500 MT), Israel (36,100 MT), Guatemala (10,000 MT), the French West Indies (4,300 MT), and the Dominican Republic (2,400 MT). Net sales of 1,686,700 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were mainly for unknown destinations (848,300 MT), and Japan (515,200 MT). Exports of 1,142,200 MT were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (316,100 MT), Mexico (161,600 MT), South Korea (152,500 MT), China (114,500 MT), Egypt (66,000 MT), and Israel (59,900 MT).
Barley: Net sales of 100 MT were for the Philippines. There were no exports reported during the week.
Sorghum: Net sales of 12,700 MT resulted as increases for Japan (15,300 MT, including 8,600 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (6,000 MT), and Israel (5,900 MT, switched from unknown destinations), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (14,600 MT). Net sales of 44,100 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were for Mexico (26,000 MT) and Japan (18,100 MT). Exports of 33,500 MT were to Japan (17,500 MT), Mexico (10,200 MT), and Israel (5,800 MT).
Rice: Net sales of 148,200 MT were reported for Iraq (120,000 MT), Ghana (10,100 MT), Honduras (7,700 MT), Mexico (4,200 MT), and Guatemala (4,000 MT). Decreases were reported for Nigeria (9,100 MT). Exports of 45,100 MT were primarily for Mexico (20,200 MT), Haiti (10,000 MT), Ghana (6,000 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), and Panama (1,400 MT).
Soybeans: Net sales of 917 MT for delivery in 2009/10 resulted as increases for Japan (12,200 MT, including 10,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Indonesia (9,600 MT), China (2,900 MT), South Korea (700 MT), and Canada (500 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (10,500 MT), Mexico (8,400 MT), Turkey (5,600 MT), and Taiwan (1,100 MT). Net sales of 613,000 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were mainly for China (175,000 MT), Thailand (126,000 MT), Taiwan (66,500 MT), and Mexico (60,400 MT). Exports of 234,600 MT were down 27 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (62,900 MT), Mexico (45,700 MT), Turkey (34,400 MT), Egypt (33,900 MT), and South Korea (23,600 MT).
Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 156,000 MT for delivery in 2009/10 were up noticeably from the previous week and 93 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for Japan (26,500 MT), the Philippines (25,800 MT), Morocco (25,000 MT), Venezuela (24,000 MT), and Mexico (18,100 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Guatemala (4,000 MT), Jamaica (3,600 MT), and the French West Indies (2,400 MT). Net sales of 222,400 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were mainly for the Philippines (80,700 MT), Australia (40,000 MT), and unknown destinations (37,000 MT). Exports of 161,700 MT were up 29 percent from the previous week and 95 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (35,600 MT), Turkey (27,500 MT), the Philippines (27,000 MT), Panama (13,700 MT), and Mexico (13,600 MT).
Soybean Oil: Net sales of 7,900 MT for delivery in 2009/10 resulted as increases for Morocco (27,000 MT, including 12,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (8,000 MT, switched from the Netherlands), and El Salvador (1,700 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (19,000 MT), the Netherlands (8,000 MT), and Mexico (2,500 MT). Net sales of 4,400 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were for Mexico. Exports of 29,800 MT were down 39 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Morocco (20,000 MT), Venezuela (8,000 MT), and Mexico (1,400 MT).
Cotton: Net Upland sales of 245,800 running bales were down 48 percent from the previous week. Increases were reported for South Korea (36,900 RB), Brazil (31,100 RB), Turkey (24,400 RB), Thailand (21,700 RB), Mexico (21,400 RB), Japan (19,300 RB), and China (16,100 RB). Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (100 RB). Net sales of 17,600 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were for Japan (9,200 RB), Guatemala (7,500 RB), and Mexico (900 RB). Exports for own account were reported for China (14,300 RB) and Turkey (3,700 RB). Exports of 219,600 RB were down 9 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (77,900 RB), Mexico (37,400 RB), Turkey (27,100 RB), and Bangladesh (11,300 RB). Net American Pima sales of 6,400 RB were down 53 percent from the previous week. Increases were primarily for Peru (2,000 RB), India (1,300 RB), China (900 RB), Germany (900 RB), and Pakistan (500 RB). Exports of 1,700 RB were up 61 percent from the previous week. The destinations were to Germany (900 RB), China (400 RB), and India (100 RB).
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 480,900 pieces reported for delivery in 2010, down 6 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hides sale of 478,900 pieces were mainly for China (222,900 pieces), South Korea (84,200 pieces), Vietnam (43,100 pieces), Mexico (31,300 pieces), Taiwan (28,300 pieces), and Japan (22,800 pieces). Exports of 528,400 pieces were up 2 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hides exports were primarily to China (249,400 pieces), South Korea (114,600 pieces), Taiwan (34,900 pieces), Vietnam (21,600 pieces), and Italy (21,100 pieces).
Net sales of 125,600 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were up 44 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (61,700 unsplit), Vietnam (28,200 unsplit), and Thailand (16,500 unsplit). Decreases were reported for Germany (2,000 unsplit). Exports of 116,300 hides were primarily to China (50,900 unsplit), Italy (17,100 unsplit), Vietnam (12,000 unsplit), Thailand (11,200 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (5,400 unsplit). Net sales of splits totaling 47,800 pounds were reported for Hong Kong (44,000 pounds) and China (15,300 pounds). Decreases were reported for South Korea (10,800 pounds) and Italy (800 pounds). Exports of 534,000 pounds were to China (212,400 pounds), South Korea (188,400 pounds), and Italy (133,200 pounds).
Beef: Net sales of 11,600 MT were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Japan (4,800 MT), Vietnam (1,700 MT), Mexico (1,500 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), and the Netherlands (600 MT). Exports of 11,500 MT were primarily for Mexico (2,800 MT), Japan (2,100 MT), Canada (1,800 MT), South Korea (1,300 MT), and Vietnam (1,100 MT).
