Oct 06, 2014

Dronestagram recently partnered with National Geographic for the 2014 Dronestagram Photo contest -- and the competition yielded thousands of spectacular images.

Between May 14 and June 30, contestants were encouraged to submit their best drone photographs.

"Picking winners was a very difficult task especially because of the great quality of the photos that have been submitted," Dronestagram says.

"We tried to reward the photos that show the best the fantastic potential offered by drones in terms of image."

Prizes included a DJI Phantom 2 drone, up to $200 USD and publication in National Geographic's French edition.
