Flint fungicide now registered for powdery mildew and leaf spot
Guelph, ON [April 21, 2008] – Cherry growers in Canada have a new fungicide option with the recent registration of Flint from Bayer CropScience for powdery mildew and leaf spot control.

“Flint will provide cherry growers with an excellent new control option for these important diseases in cherries, beginning this season,” says Brad Ewankiw, Horticulture Portfolio Manager for Bayer CropScience.

Flint (trifloxystrobin), a Group 11 foliar fungicide, works through translaminar activity to provide preventative activity on the leaf surface and on both sides of the leaf. Flint is also registered for control of apple scab, powdery mildew and a host of secondary diseases in pome fruit and grapes.
