Magazine about Missouri agriculture unveiled

Will have a print distribution of about 15,000

Missouri Director of Agriculture, Richard Fordyce recently hosted a Director’s Dinner where among other things, the 2015-16 edition Missouri Agriculture magazine was unveiled.

The magazine documents the people, places, livestock and more that make up Missouri’s most important industry – agriculture.

“The pages in this issue of Missouri Agriculture highlight a handful of the numerous outstanding individuals who represent the state’s number one industry,” said Director of Agriculture Richard Fordyce. “There are many incredible things going on in Missouri agriculture and we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to tell the stories of the people who have chosen to make agriculture their livelihood.”

The magazine aims to share information about the benefits Missouri agriculture provides to consumers, producers and to the health of the state.

It features the Department of Agriculture’s areas of interest and includes stories about environmental stewardship, marketing, youth leadership and more. Farmers from Missouri including Nick Hammett, Chris Heins, Danny Wassman and Chris Chinn will also be part of the magazine.

The magazine will be physically distributed to about 15,000 people within the state and can be seen in its entirety online.
