Spring 2016

harvesting data to gain insight

One of the biggest questions that came up during Spring grower meetings was "How do I get started?" It was a strong reminder of where we are in the burgeoning AgTech sector and that there is a lot of work ahead of us. I remain hopeful that AgTech companies will partner and bring collective resources to deliver complete, easy to use systems with a measureable return on investment for the farm. For now, I will be rolling up my sleeves and pulling on my boots to get started on our field trials. The remainder of my time this Spring will be listening to farmers about what’s working and what we need next - while connecting and communicating these essential industry needs to as many people as possible. Our quest is to move the industry closer to solutions that provide data we can act on that deliver measurable revenue and profits. If you have any questions on any of these articles or would like to discuss your current agriculture technology [agtech] with me, drop me a note.

Digging in,
Lisa
