New Variety Recommendations

Feb 03, 2015
Every year new crop varieties are approved and become part of farmers’ rotations. Years of breeding and work come to a head early this month, as the various recommending committees gather to evaluation potential new varieties. I recently caught up Erin Armstrong, director of industry and regulatory affairs with Canterra Seeds, who’s been involved with the Prairie Grain Development Committee. Erin, do you anticipate new varieties coming out of these meetings?
