Video: Corn And Soybeans Losing Money On Some Land In Iowa

A group of Iowa State researchers have found that some areas of farmland used to grow corn or soybeans are losing money in Iowa. The researchers studied years of both high and low commodity prices and found these pockets of unprofitable land can exist even during otherwise highly profitable years. The ISU team is now looking at ways the land management could be changed to improve both the economic and environmental outlooks for these areas.
