A Saskatchewan-based farm group is lobbying the federal government to approve the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Western Canadian Wheat Growers chair Jim Wickett says the deal will create new markets and ensure prairie farmers are not at a competitive disadvantage to other countries.
He says the trade deal is an opportunity which Canada cannot afford to miss.
He says the Trans Pacific Partnership covers 12 nations, and 800 million people.
