In one of the first published studies in Canada, Paylean was tested at the Prairie Swine Centre’s Elstow facility. Live performance, as well as meat quality and sensory panel evaluations were completed by the research team. Pigs were on Paylean for an average of 26 days, at 5 ppm.
Paylean improved feed to gain by 11.1% (gain to feed 12.5%), and average daily gain by 13% over control pigs, and Paylean pigs were out of the barn an average of four days sooner. |
