Paylean Pays Ileitis Research Tylan Soluble
Subclinical Ileitis

Studies show the causative pathogen, Lawsonia intracellularis, is found in over 90% of U.S., European and Canadian herds1. Sub Clinical Ileitis is not readily diagnosed in the barn, but silently cycles through the pigs.

Subclinical ileitis produced by sequential dilutions of in a mucosal homogenate challenge model2.

Key Learnings
1.   All challenge levels resulted in infection as shown by IHC

2.   Infections with low inoculum doses could not be detected in the barn clinically (no significant difference in fecal scores when compared to control)

3.   Infections with low inoculum doses caused significant performance losses
