Ag Minister Talks Beef In Vietnam

Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz pitched Canadian beef in Vietnam this week.

It was the first stop on his latest trade mission.

The Vietnam stop included a meeting between Ritz and the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Canadian agri-food and seafood exports to Vietnam last year were worth just over 238 million dollars – up almost 150 per cent since 2006.

Ritz will also be making stops in South Korea and Japan on this trip.
