Agriculture In The Classroom - Saskatchewan Receives Grant From DuPont Pioneer

DuPont Pioneer is pleased to announce that as part of its Full Belly! Full Mind! initiative that supports nutrition and breakfast programs across Canada, $ 5,000 has been donated to Agriculture in the Classroom - Saskatchewan.

The grant will specifically be used to fund an indoor garden program that engages and inspires students to grow and eat healthy food.  Chad Krikau, Pioneer Hi-Bred sales representative and Mark Kuchuran, Marketing Communications Specialist in Western Canada at DuPont Pioneer endorsed the grant.

"We are happy to have made this donation as it will enable students to learn first-hand about the importance of food and farming practices," says Mark Kuchuran. "This will help prepare our young leaders to effectively tackle food security challenges in the future."

"Thanks to the financial support from partners such as DuPont Pioneer, we will be able to educate youth on the importance of food sustainability, farming practices and environmental stewardship," says Sara Shymko, Executive Director, Agriculture in the Classroom - Saskatchewan.

Pioneer makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for outreach grants are given to communities where Pioneer Hi-Bred sales representatives, and DuPont Pioneer employees and customers live and work and that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
