Alberta direct cattle salesTuesday were typically quiet and bids and asks remain poorly defined. Due to the short holiday week business will need to develop this afternoon and Thursday. Trade volumes are anticipated thin.
US Trade
In the US Tuesday, business was at a standoff with little trade interest. Opening bids have started out around $3.00/cwt lower than the previous week. Active trade is not anticipated until Thursday or Friday.
Canadian Dollar
The nearby Canadian dollar at 9:00 this morning was trading at 76.98, up 0.35.
