Alberta Cattle Industry Market Report
 
Alberta direct cattle last week saw weighted average steer prices firm $4.00/cwt higher than thin trade seen the previous week. Dressed prices ranged from $246.00-252.00 delivered with the bulk of trade at $250.00. An increased volume of heifers was on offer last week.
 
US Trade
 
In the US, scattered trade trickled in over the course of the week with live prices steady to $2.00 lower than the previous week. Dressed sales in the North were steady to $6.00 lower ranging from $190.00-192.00. Feedlot managers showed solidarity and sale volumes were limited.  
 
Canadian Dollar
 
The nearby Canadian dollar at 9:00 this morning was trading at 76.27, down 0.39.
