All Equine Show At Western Fair March 14-16.

Western Fair District welcomes horse trainers, riders, professionals and horse enthusiasts for three days of clinics, demonstrations, entertainment and shopping in the Agriplex.

 NEW - 3 Day Trainer's Challenge

3 Trainers | 3 Horses | 3 Judges

For the first time in Eastern Canada, this unique experience showcases three of Canada’s top trainers as they put their skills to work, demonstrating their abilities and techniques on how to train an un-broke horse. The Trainer’s Challenge will take place in the demonstration ring and competitors will have three days to achieve success, critiqued by three judges, using their different training skills.

 Trainers Participating:

 Travis Beaton:

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Travis operates a training facility in Caroline, Alberta.

At a young age, his father instilled in him that horses aren’t a “tool”, or merely a mode of transportation, rather a teammate, or partner. Travis has been blessed with opportunities to work with and learn from some of the best horsemen in western Canada, and even North-America. He has learned how to build trust in horses through time-honored traditions and progressive concepts. Through this trust, Travis has found the effectiveness is in the relationship you build with your horse.

 Shawn Seabrook:

Shawn has been involved with horses for over 20 years.  He has owned his own horse transportation business which took him all over North America and his experiences have led to opportunities to ride extensively with world renowned trainers.  This has allowed him to develop his own program which provides a great foundation for starting colts, performance in reining, working cow horses and cutting.  Shawn travels throughout Canada teaching clinics and has developed his own Certification and Performance Horse Programs which are very intense and hands-on.   Shawn believes that horsemanship is a life long journey which evolves as a rider’s abilities progress and with that said, Shawn continues to train with numerous world class trainers.

 Kade Mills:

At the young age of fifteen Kade made a decision to follow in his father’s footsteps as a professional trainer. With the guidance from his dad and a god given talent Kade has become a very talented and successful horse trainer. He has trained on his own all over Canada, the US and Europe, starting colts for renowned Quarter Horse breeders in both Canada and the US. Kade was also a four time National High School Rodeo Finals qualifier in both Team Roping and Calf Roping. He was the Mane Event Trainer challenge champion in 2011 in both Red Deer and Chilliwack and in 2012 Kade won the Canadian Horse Trainers Challenge.  Kade resides in Olds, Alberta where he trains, gives lessons and offers clinics out of Eagle Hills Equine.

 Internationally Sanctioned Extreme Cowboy Race!

A celebration of Horsemanship and Competitive Speed, Extreme Cowboy Racing is the "fastest growing equine sport" in North America.  Watch as competitors and their horses take to a challenging course of ranch and trail-type obstacles while being judged on their command of each element, their overall horsemanship and extreme speed around the Agriplex! All Equine will feature an Extreme Cowboy Race sanctioned by both the Extreme Cowboy Association (EXCA) and Ontario Xtreme Cowboy Association (OXC), the original and only recognized association for the sport of Extreme Cowboy Racing. The Extreme Cowboy Race™ was originated by the first “Original Extreme Cowboy”, Craig Cameron.
