Canada’s Renewable Fuels Industry Advocate Welcomes William Meyer Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Relations

OTTAWA, ON — William Meyer has joined the staff of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA) as the Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, effective June 15, 2015. In his role, Mr. Meyer leads CRFA communications, helping raise awareness and promoting the benefits of clean-burning renewable fuels in Canada. He will liaise directly with CRFA stakeholders and the media, and help to inform the public about the important work CRFA’s members are doing across the country.

“We are delighted that William has joined our team,” said Andrea Kent, President of CRFA. “With over a decade of experience in association, non-profit and government communications, William will be an asset in helping advance the association’s mandate and carrying our message to Canadians. Mr. Meyer holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a minor in law from Carleton University, and a diploma in public relations from Algonquin College. He has served as Practice Lead, Communications and as Manager, Communications for Engineers Canada, and held various communications and writer positions at the North-South Institute, the Canadian Coast Guard and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s Climate Change Project Office.

“I am happy and excited to be a member of the CRFA team,” said William Meyer. “The staff and membership have been very welcoming, and I look forward to using my skills to the benefit of the organization and the renewable fuels industry as a whole.”
