Sevita International is very pleased to announce the appointment of Don Rees as their new President, effective July 31, 2017. Don is an accomplished executive with many years of leadership experience with multi-national and Canadian food and agricultural companies such as Maple Leaf Foods, Frito-Lay, Monsanto, SunOpta and Organic Meadow. Don holds degrees in Economics from McMaster University and Business from The University of Windsor. Don specializes in business development and organizational effectiveness and will lead the efforts to enhance the organization through a commitment to innovation and excellence in all areas. Don has been working with Sevita International since June 2017 and his appointment is part of a long-term plan to maximize the overall potential of its business and organization.
Don will succeed Bob Hart, who is the outgoing President, a Sevita International founding partner and a Board Director. Bob plans to continue his extensive operational role in the company and to take on a more detailed leadership role on the Sevita International Board of Directors.
David Hendrick, who is a Sevita International founding partner and the Board Chair, will also remain very active in the business with a focus on the export markets. David will also provide Board leadership to fulfill the tremendous vision and future of Sevita International.
