Equine Guelph Launches Horse Health Tracker App

Equine Guelph, the horse owner’s Centre at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, has launched a new smartphone and tablet app designed to help owners track their horses' health information. The app is designed to help owners assess horses’ vital health data, body condition score, and body weight and easily share the information with the animals' healthcare teams. Upgrades allow owners to keep track of information such as heart rate, temperature, and respiration for up to 50 horses, and owners can view graphs plotting this data over a 13-month period. The app also includes instructional videos, appointment reminders that sync with smart phone calendars, and email capability to share data with your veterinarian. “The ability to share pertinent information with your veterinarian is a wonderful feature,” said equine practitioner Laura Frost, DVM. “The Horse Health Tracker makes it easy for the horse owner to systematically collect vital health data and provide this information in real-time to a veterinarian.” The app is available for download at the App Store and Google Play and a user guide is available at EquineGuelph.ca.Click here to see more...

We also finished our barn project, and did an upgrade at our river screen intakes to protect them from the ice.
