Faba Bean Feed Benchmark

Not much change over two weeks ago. Harvest progressing in SK & MB, slow in AB. The biggest thing observed in the market is the spread between grain going into the feedlots with high vomi (max 10 ppm) vs. wheat and barley going into hog feed (max 1 ppm vomi).

I would suggest a $20 - 30 spread per tonne on wheat depending on the region. Values I am reporting are low vomi (max 1 ppm).

At current prices, corn will continue to be the predominant feed grain in MB and will also pull into rations in southern SK. Feed grade peas & faba beans trading in Alberta and Saskatchewan at $180 - $200/T, Manitoba, $200 - $220/T providing good value in rations.
