Fusarium Head Blight And Irrigation

 
Fusarium head blight (FHB) is a serious fungal disease that affects kernel development in cereal crops. Recent surveys indicate it is well established in southern Alberta and present in central and northern regions of the province. I caught up with Kelly Turkington, research scientist with Agriculture Canada in Lacombe, about what producers under irrigation need to keep in mind about this disease.
