G-3 Canada Reveals Projected Returns For Wheat, Canola And Durum

The latest Pool Return Outlook from G-3 Canada Limited shows projected returns for wheat and canola are lower, while durum’s projected returns are higher this month.

Dave Siminot is the Manager of Pooling for G3 Canada Limited.

He says the strong U-S dollar has made U-S wheat exports very uncompetitive against everyone else, which has resulted in a buildup of supply.

Siminot says the pro’s are down twelve to fourteen dollars a tonne or thirty-five to fourty cents a bushel.

“What it means is that the pro’s back in to Saskatchewan are typically running in and around the six fifty a bushel mark. It’s going to depend a little on your grade of course and your location but that’s where we are at. I know many farmers are still hoping and waiting for seven dollars so I would like to agree and hope that were at a low point here and might kick back up to seven but right now we’re showing about six fifty.”

Siminot says durum values have held up.
