Hail Claims On Par With 5 Year Average

Crop hail insurance claims in Manitoba are on par with the five-year average, according to the Canadian Crop Hail Association.

Over the last few weeks, hail damage was reported on July 5th in a stretch from Souris to La Riviere and on July 6th around Snowflake and Darlingford.

The Binscarth and Waskada area saw hail on July 10th, while claims have also been registered from Angusville to Treherne to Neepawa for a storm on July 12th.

Overall hail activity across western Canada is below the average for this time.
