Manitoba farmers are being encouraged to give their opinion on the current check-off funding model for Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP).
KAP General Manager James Battershill says the survey is positive step forward in helping to reduce unnecessary red tape.
"We know that they're (Manitoba Government) not really looking a major wholesale change," he commented. "Their aim here is really to reduce the administrative burden, not only on this but other things that farmers are engaged in. We'd encourage farmers to participate in the survey, give their honest opinion of their experience with it and hopefully we see some action on this and many of the other red tape issues that we're asking government to work on on farmers behalf."
