Kubota Launches BX80-Series Sub-Compact Tractors

Kubota Tractor Corp.'s new line of sub-compact tractors, the BX80-Series, is now available. The series was announced last fall. The BX80-Series includes four new tractor models: BX1880, BX2380, BX2680 and BX23S, which offers Kubota's exclusive Swift-Tach Loader and Swift-Connect Backhoe as standard equipment.

"We are thrilled that the new BX80-Series has finally arrived; they are a superior product compared to anything currently in the sub-compact market," said Marc Bourgeois, principal owner, MB Tractor & Equipment, with locations in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. "Kubota's previous line, the BX70-Series, built its stellar reputation based on the fact that it's the little orange tractor that would run forever.

"Now, Kubota has 'upped the ante' with the new BX80-Series, taking the sub-compact category to a whole new level with its new Swift-Tach Loader, Swift-Connect Backhoe, and Easy-Over Mower Deck option. Across the dealer network anticipation has been building for the arrival of new BX80-Series. We put in a large order and anticipate them to move quickly off our showroom floor."

Kubota created the sub-compact market category in 2000 with the first introduction of the BX sub-compact tractor.

"We've taken our experience and existing customer feedback during the last 17 years to enhance performance and ease-of-use with this exciting new BX80-Series," said Robert Cockroft, Kubota sub-compact and compact tractor product manager. "We're excited and encouraged about the initial consumer response. The new BX-Series truly is the perfect choice for first-time tractor buyers, and is sure to be the sharpest looking tool in your garage."

The BX1880, BX2380 and the BX2680 are equipped with a rollover protection system, which now conveniently fits through most standard 7-foot high garage door openings. The series blends ease of operation and unmatched versatility with the legendary reliability of Kubota diesel engines. The BX1880, BX2380 and BX2680 deliver 18-, 23-, and 25.5-horsepower, respectively. A 23-horsepower engine brings Kubota reliability and superior torque to the new BX23S tractor-loader-backhoe model. Kubota's powerful and efficient, liquid-cooled 3-cylinder diesel engines, combined with 4WD, provide traction and confidence for completing the job while using less fuel than gasoline engines.

Complete Line of Tools and Implements

The new BX80-Series makes it easier than ever to attach the complete line of tools and implements. The LA344 Swift-Tach loader, offered for the BX1880, BX2380 and BX2680, and the LA340 Swift-Tach loader for the BX23S, can be removed or attached without the operator leaving the operator's station.

A new 4-point front hitch enables accessories, like blades, brooms and snowblowers to be equipped. A complete line of rear- mounted Land Pride implements, including rear snowblowers, are easily attached with the standard Category I 3-point hitch. All four BX80 tractors offer multiple deck options, including the Easy Over Deck, Kubota's easy to use drive over deck.

Standard-Equipped Swift-Connect Backhoe Unit

THe BX23S has a standard-equipped and industry-leading LA340 Swift-Tach Loader and all-new BT603 Swift-Connect Backhoe. The Kubota Swift-Tach system provides ease in removing and attaching the front loader, while the BT603 Kubota Swift-Connect Backhoe is easy to remove without tools, without any pins to store or lose. All BX80-Series loaders and the BT603 backhoe includes upgraded flat-faced couplers that do not seep fluid when released or installed, and are easy to connect, even under pressure. A boom lock, for increased safety, is standard on the BT603. A wide range of bucket options including an 8-inch, 12-inch and 16-inch bucket offer even more productivity, and a mechanical thumb, for picking up items such as logs, is optional on the new BX23S.
