Local Filmmaker’s Drone Films Selected by U.S. Drone Film Festival

In the spirit of supporting the importance of agriculture, local drone pilot and filmmaker,Robert Frye, masterfully documents high tech agriculture from above. The US. Drone Film Festival in Oklahoma City,Oklahoma certainly took notice, naming his three short films as Official Screening Selections of this prestigious drone film festival.

Frye masterfully and uniquely captured agricultural perspectives from a bird’s-eye-view which is seldom, if ever, seen in each of his three films titled: “The Promise of Agriculture”, “Fungicide Application in Iowa” and “Controlled Burn”.

The US Drone Film Festival chose his films from hundreds of submissions from 44 countries, and will be screening the films on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Oklahoma City Museum of Arts. Film submissions were limited to 5 minutes in length.

Frye was delighted. "We knew that we had outstanding films and were hoping for at least one to make the cut. Having three make it is wonderful. These selections, by the US Drone Film Festival, also recognize and reinforces our personal support for the importance of agriculture”.

The US Drone Film Festival has a mission to promote, encourage, and celebrate the economic, environmental benefits of small UAVs and overcome the negative stigma associated with drones. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.usdronefilmfestival.com
