Manitoba Beef Producers 38th AGM wrapped up on Friday in Brandon.
The theme this year was "Sharing Our Story".
President Heinz Reimer says its up to everybody to spread a positive message about the industry.
"When we're at events like this or anywhere else, even when you're together with your families, we tend to forget that that not all of us have agriculture backgrounds anymore. So when you get together as a group, just let people know what a farmer is, that we are doing a good job."
Another topic discussed at the meeting was the ag minister's hope to grow the cattle herd back to pre-BSE numbers.
