Sunday, September 21 is Open Farm Day in Manitoba.
Danielle Cabernel, Rural Leadership Specialist with Manitoba Agriculture, says this year 48 host farms will open their doors to the public in an effort to connect Manitobans with farmers and the agriculture industry.
The day also provides farmers with an opportunity to promote themselves and their products.
Some of the activities planned include a chance to feed the animals, tours, demonstrations and tasting local food.

2014 marks the event's 5th year.
