Manitoba Wheat and Barley Growers Association and Manitoba Corn Growers hire Joint General Manager


The boards of the Manitoba Corn Growers (MCGA) and Manitoba Wheat and Barley Growers Association (MWBGA) are pleased to announce the hiring of Pam de Rocquigny as the General Manager for the two organizations. “Pam has a great understanding of the important grower organization issues for each of our crops and we are looking forward to working with her and MWBGA to uncover new opportunities and efficiencies with this new arrangement” says Myron Krahn chair of MCGA.

Fred Greig chair of MWBGA adds,“Manitoba Wheat and Barley have intentionally operated with contract leadership up to now in order to be able to seize an opportunity like this. We are very pleased to hire Pam and to break some new ground in collaboration among grower organizations”…

MWBGA and MCGA each anticipate future demands that may require thinking differently and working more collaboratively in order to provide maximum value back to grower members.The boards and the staff of each organization are committed to working together to deliver that value in new and innovative ways.The hiring of Pam as a joint GM is an important step.

Pam comes to this new role with 16 years of experience with Manitoba Agriculture, most recently as the cereal crops specialist.Pam, her husband Norbert and two boys farm near Haywood Manitoba. “I have always had a belief that grower organizations play a very important role in supporting and sustaining profitability for producers. I am excited to be a part of building on that and to be working within this new and dynamic collaborative arrangement” responds de Rocquigny.

Pam will begin her new role February 13th the week of Crop Connect. The boards of MCGA and MWBGA invite members to attend the AGMs of each organization to receive more detailed reports on organization activity and to join in welcoming Pam.
