Minister Ritz Discusses Canada-Ukraine Agricultural Cooperation with Minister Pavlenko

Ottawa, Ontario - Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz meets with Oleksiy Pavlenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, to review cooperation and other issues of mutual interest between Canada and Ukraine in the field of agriculture. Canada and Ukraine are actively engaged in negotiations toward concluding a free trade agreement (FTA) which could benefit many sectors of the Canadian economy, most notably agriculture. Two-way agri-food and seafood trade with Ukraine totaled $44.7 million in 2014, up 44% since 2006.
