NCGA Applauds Midwest Governors for Continued Support on The Rfs

The following is a statement from North Dakota farmer Kevin Skunes, president of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), on the letter to President Trump from Midwest Governors regarding the importance of not weakening the Renewable Fuel Standard.

“We want to thank these governors for their leadership and continued support on this very important issue that has such a large impact on America’s farmers and rural communities,” said Skunes. “The RFS is a job creator, economic driver and gives the public an affordable option at the fuel pump. These six governors have a strong understanding of the benefits of the RFS and outlined why other proposals on the table would have a negative impact on rural America.”

The six governors who sent the letter to President Trump include: Kim Reynolds – Iowa; Eric Holcomb – Indiana; Jeff Colyer – Kansas; Eric Greitens – Missouri; Pete Ricketts – Nebraska; Dennis Daugaard – South Dakota. To view a copy of the letter, click here.
