New Manager For Glenlea Research Station

A new operations manager has been appointed for the University of Manitoba's Glenlea Research Station.

Tracy Gilson has been hired to manage the 1,200 acre site which supports research, teaching and outreach programs for the U of M's Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.

Gilson's previous roles include serving as the acting assistant deputy minister for Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Development.

The Glenlea Research Station includes dairy, swine and beef operations, as well as long-term cropping systems plots, including Canada's longest running organic systems study. The site is also home to the National Centre for Livestock and the Environment and the Bruce. D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre.
