  • 3:30-4:00 - Remarks by Honourable Ralph Goodale,  Deputy Leader, Liberal Party of Canada
  • 6:30 p.m - Remarks by Honourable Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food (during CFA's President's Reception. Panorama Room. RSVP to the reception here)

Wednesday, February 25:

  • 8:45-9:15 - Remarks by Honourable Thomas Mulcair, Leader of the Official Opposition
  • 10:00-11:30 - Farm to Table Presentation Series, moderated by Richard Deacon and Randall Mang of The Globe and Mail

- Andrew Goldstein, Director General, Strategic Policy Branch, at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada will talk about social license in the agri-food context, ways in which consumer perceptions shape social license and the importance of social media in garnering social license.

- Earl Geddes , President at Progression Consulting will   take a look at what some of the major drivers of the global   market are in terms of population, economic and cultural shifts.  He will also speak to the need to be sure we know what we have to market and what markets will prove most profitably. 

  • 11:30-12:30 - The Next Generation of Agricultural Policies and Programs - What do Canadian Farmers Need? CFA President, Ron Bonnett
  • 1:00-2:00 - Keynote Speaker: Don Newman, "The Political Landscape: Parties, Policies and Personalities in Election Year 2015". Don Newman lays out the various factors that will shape this year's federal election. Newman is one of the country's leading political consultants and government affairs specialist. The former Senior Parliamentary Editor at CBC Television News, Newman was the host of the daily program Politics for 15 years.
