Ontario Pork Congress

All pork producers are encouraged to attend the 2015 Ontario Pork Congress (OPC) on Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Stratford Rotary Complex.

Ontario Pork will be at booth number A7-A8 in the Agriplex (same location as previous years), where Directors and staff will be on hand to answer questions about pork and pork products.

Each year, the OPC brings together all segments of the pork industry to showcase the latest technologies, developments, services and products available. The Congress also helps promote and address pressing industry issues, such as carcass quality, animal welfare and profitability. Well over 100 unique exhibitors from around the world will be on hand from animal health and feed companies, to hog housing and barn technology manufacturers.

On both days from 11:00 a.m. until noon Ontario Pork will be delivering education sessions on PigTrace, Pit Foaming and Unvented Gas Heaters.

Andrea Villneff, Ontario Pork’s Nutritionist will be providing participants samples of Weeknight Pork Pizza Meatballs in the arena from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m on Thursday, June 18th.

Other events taking place during this year’s OPC include: Pig Art, a creative digital photography contest; Taste the Best featuring samples from Sofina and Ontario Pork; and the Hog Jog, a 3.5km and 10km run supporting The Ontario Association of Food Banks.
