Organizers Expecting Big Turnout For Manitoba AG EX

Organizers for the Manitoba AG EX are expecting a big turnout for this year's show, taking place later this month in at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.

Ron Kristjansson is the general manager of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba.

"The cattle entries look very strong. We're expecting a big turnout of cattle. We've got a Western National Hereford show and the National Limousin show. Those draw people from far and wide. It'll be exciting to see some new faces that maybe haven't been to Brandon for quite a while."

He notes various incarnations of the Manitoba AG EX have been going on for the past four decades.

The last time the Canadian National Limousin Show was held in Brandon was in 2012 and this is the first time the Western Canadian National Hereford Show has been held outside of Edmonton, Alberta.

The Manitoba AG EX will also host the Manitoba Finals Rodeo. The event is the province's largest all breeds cattle show, with organizers expecting over 100 cattle ranch exhibitors and close to 700 head of cattle. The Manitoba Superhorse 50/50, NAERIC Barrels of Cash, Hagan Performance & Ranch Horses, Fall Classic Ranch Sorting and the Manitoba Bucking Stock Futurity have also joined the Manitoba AG EX this year.
