Reseeding May Be An Option For Canola

We could see some reseeding of canola in the coming days, says an agronomy specialist with the Canola Council of Canada.

Angela Brackenreed says now is the time to be out checking the plant after the cold temperatures last weekend.

She notes even though there may be some damage, it may still be worth keeping the crop.

"If you have three to five plants that have made it through, and it's not overly patching throughout the field, you definitely want to consider keeping that stand. Also take a look at the development under the leaves. If that hypercottle is totally constricted there's a very good chance that that plant will not recover."
