SaskCanola Announces Board Election Results

 
Six nominations were received to fill four positions on the SaskCanola Board of Directors. An election subsequently took place by way of electronic voting, the votes were collected and tabulated by the Returning Officer, and the results are in! Newly elected are Keith Fournier of Lone Rock/Maidstone and Gerry Hertz of Edenwold. Re-elected are Wayne Truman of Redvers and Doyle Wiebe of Langham. 
 
Keith farms in the Lone Rock/Maistone area with his sister and brother-in-law. Keith has served in other capacities as rural municipal councillor, 4-H leader, and local marketing club president. He is passionate about research, technology, and anything farm related.
 
Gerry farms near Edenwold with his wife, Alanna Koch. Gerry has been involved with groups like the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, Canadian Agri-Marketing Association, and Edenwold Memorial Rink. He is currently a council member with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and in his fourth year as a Provincial Appointee on the board of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists.
 
Wayne is returning to the Board for a second consecutive term. He farms with his wife, Bonnie, in the Redvers area. Wayne is currently Chair of the SaskCanola Research Committee; he’s also on the board of the Agriculture Council of Saskatchewan and the South East Research Farm at Redvers.
 
Doyle is returning to the Board for a second consecutive term. He farms with his wife, Valerie, near Langham, and is currently SaskCanola Board Vice-Chairman and Chair of the SaskCanola Audit Committee. Doyle’s also involved with groups like the Saskatchewan Soil Conservation Association, Canadian Canola Growers Association, Western Grain Research Foundation, and Grain Growers of Canada.
