Syngenta Adds Clubroot-Resistant Hybrid SY4105 to Growing Canola Portfolio

Syngenta Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of SY4105 to its expanding canola seed portfolio. SY4105 is the first canola hybrid from Syngenta to incorporate clubroot resistance and is the fourth variety in the company’s canola seed portfolio.

“The introduction of SY4105 is another example of our ongoing commitment to the western Canadian canola grower,” says Duane Johnson, Head of the Western Commercial Unit with Syngenta Canada. “With the addition of a hybrid with clubroot resistance, SY4105 further expands the Syngenta canola seed offer and provides western Canadian growers with another option to reduce the development and establishment of this key canola disease.”

SY4105 is a mid-season, Genuity® Roundup Ready® canola hybrid that fits well across growing zones in Western Canada. SY4105 delivers excellent early-season vigour, strong yield performance and is an exceptional seed choice in areas where clubroot is of concern.

SY4105 is available for sale in limited quantities for 2015 seeding and comes pre-treated with Helix® Vibrance® seed treatment. For canola growers who also experience cutworm pressure, the newly registered Fortenza® seed treatment can be combined with Helix Vibrance on SY4105 to deliver effective control of this canola pest.
